The Stanley Hotel Concert Hall

Built in 1909 as a gift from F.O. Stanley to his wife Flora, the Concert Hall sits just east of the main hotel and is considered one of the most paranormally active of the Stanley's buildings. Two named spirits dominate the lore. Paul was a former handyman who, among his duties, enforced the hotel's 11 p.m. guest curfew; visitors and staff report his disembodied voice gruffly telling them to "get out," particularly when they linger after hours. Lucy was a homeless woman said to have sheltered in the hall during the hotel's lean years, when the building had fallen into disrepair; she is described as a gentle presence who answers investigators through flashlight flickers and knocks. Flora Stanley's spirit is also said to favor the hall, where phantom piano notes are heard. The venue is a regular stop on the hotel's night ghost tours and has been featured in paranormal investigations.
