Bonaventure Cemetery
Bonaventure is Savannah's most beautiful burial ground, a bluff above the river draped in live oaks and Spanish moss. Its most beloved resident is Gracie Watson, who died of pneumonia in 1889 at age six; her grieving father marked the grave with a statue so lifelike it still stops visitors cold. People claim to hear a little girl's laughter drifting through the oaks, and say that if you take the coins left at her feet, she will follow you home.
