Green-Meldrim House

This Gothic Revival mansion served as General Sherman's headquarters when he took Savannah in 1864 and famously offered the city to President Lincoln as a Christmas gift. Now a church parish house, it keeps a quieter haunting. Staff and visitors report footsteps in empty rooms, doors that open by themselves, and a figure occasionally seen pacing the upstairs halls.
